These “seconds” are amazing! I’m always so excited to receive a candle with no idea how it smells- and I am always so surprised how wonderful they are!
I already knew I liked CORDA candles from the Pick 6 tealight sampler I'd gotten previously. So, a Shower of Roses full-size candle was a no-brainer for a friend who loves St Therese and loves scented candles! I LOVE that CORDA candles are non-toxic, non-soy candles too, because this friend is health-conscious and very aware of what she's inhaling. I knew I could give it to her in good conscience and trust it will be enjoyed. This is my favorite Catholic candle company!
We have an Advent party for our university students in early December before students head into finals. We raffle off a Gifts for a King candle to one lucky winner. The winning student is thrilled! The candle is beautifully packaged and a delightful fragrance.
I love the refreshing scents of cherry and violet in cloistered heart. This candle is very aromatic and soothing. It is a great candle to light while praying and its aroma is also very relaxing.
I have to say, these CORDA CANDLES ARE THE MOST FRAGRANT CANDLES I HAVE EVER SMELLED!! I have so far only tried, St. Michael & St. Padre Pio. I get so many compliments when people walk in my home, and want to know what smells so AMAZING!! Thank you to an Incredible Company! GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I will be trying some new scents this September as well.
I ordered some of the “seconds” candles not knowing what to expect, but expecting a fly or two. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the appearance of these candles.
This is one of my all time favorite scents. I think Blessed Pier would 💯 approve!

First off - “seconds” is just a reflection of Corda’s high quality standards - the candle burns as beautifully as their “firsts.” Battle Cry is like having St Michael hover over your space with the scent reminding you their is angelic protection in place - and just as one would expect - a high ranking soldier of God smells amazing!
Easy to use and love that the wick doesn’t fall back into the candle. A shorter wick keeps my candle burning longer!
I love this fragrance. I want to give them as gifts but I keep them all, The seconds was amazing. I love lighting the candle for faith based meetings and for writing. It's just beautiful.

My favorite Corda candle is Compline. It releases subtle tones of lavender, vanilla and dark amber with a touch of patchouli. It stands up to its name as last thoughts of the day linger and float away. Relaxing and peaceful. Love the creative people who can dream up a scent which is transforming for me to enjoy.
Purchased the Fire & Cloud last year as a gift and was so reluctant to give it away because the scent was too good! Not sure how to describe it - but brought back memories of my childhood - the mixture of sacramental smells, polished church pews, and a hint of the summer fires - it was like a weekend with my grandparents in a candle! If you aren’t sure you will like it - I recommend ordering as a tealight first & then ordering the full size once you determine if it’s a hit for you as well!

These candles are so sacred to me! They are high quality and the scent carries through the life of the candle. I hope to have access to these for a very long time.

I love all of the Corda candles, but Battle Cry is my favorite. The smell is not overwhelming and burns for such a long time. When I have the opportunity, I get the "seconds", as it is a few dollars cheaper but still has the same great smell. I love to hear/read the stories behind the candle scents. I only buy Corda candles now!
The Valor and Grace candle appealed to me because I need a reminder of both daily. The scents are wonderful. The candles are packed with care and arrive in packaging that prevents any melting due to the summer temperatures.
