These serene scents of fir needles and Castilian roses are inspired by Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Nuanced with notes of cedar, evergreen boughs, and musk.
Behind the Inspiration
Mary appeared to St. Juan Diego as a pregnant woman of native descent, bringing a message of motherly comfort and hope. As proof of her appearance, Castilian roses were inexplicably found blooming in the dead of winter. The tilma that held the roses miraculously bears her image even to this day.
The feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is December 12.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
We have ordered over 4 corda candles and have loved everyone of them!
I Purchased the Roses in Winter Candles as a gift for friends. Both friends love them and one said, “When I light my candle, I imagine the scent Juan Diego smelled when he gathered roses in December during his visit from Mary.”
I ordered for a friend whose Parrish is Our Lady of Guadalupe. The fragrance is lovely , I hope not too strong.
I discovered the candles through a fundraising and fell in love with roses in winters; it smells amazing and it is very well packaged. I was looking for ideas for Christmas gifts but I believe I have found out.
Thank you
Roses in Winter
Three years ago I purchased this candle for my Advent morning reflection time, and I have bought it every year since. It is fitting with Our Lady of Guadalupe's feast right in the middle of Advent, and the rich, cozy smell of this candle fits right in with the season. I don't love the smell of floral candles, but this one is just enough rose scent where it draws me into prayer without being overpowering. It has become one of my favorite Corda candles. Already purchased mine for this year!
Sent to our daughter and arrived the day they found out they have fertility complications. I’d picked it out as our Lady is a great intercession. She was delighted

Beautiful scent!! It’s subtle yet it permeates the room, making it smell like roses and fir. It’s my favorite candle!
