Let me give you a word picture and walk you through the experience of receiving your Corda Valor and Grace candle in the mail. The box is a bit heavy. Heavy cardboard. Sealed extremely well, I take the edge of my scissors to score the tape. The candle is packed extremely well with corrugated cardboard all around it ensuring that it arrives safely and in one piece. The scent of the candle hits my nose and my senses awaken. The excitement starts building as I want to light this candle immediately. First, my Valor and Grace Corda candle is in a beautiful box with a tight sleeve that not only tells me which saint it was inspired by, but also a scent description. On the back of the sleeve is a short explanation of who Saint Joan was, her feast day, and what inspired this particular candle. After sliding off the sleeve, you come to the actual opening of the candle box. If you thought the candle in the original mailing box was packed extremely well, you’re going to love how your Corda candle comes in its individual box! Upon opening the inner box, there’s another lid and cardboard all the way around the inside of the box, including the top. These boxes remind me of high-quality. My mind is trying to come up with another use for this beautiful box and we haven’t even lit the candle yet! St. Joan of Arc has a beautifully balanced scent of natural lavender and oak. Not overbearing. Natural. Clean. Quality. Not like cheap candles. The difference is noticeable. As the scent wonders and fills the house, the lavender relaxes you almost instantly. You feel your shoulders relax as you dive into prayer. I’ve never felt a candle relax me so much so as to help me focus on my prayers. Whether it’s the rosary, reading daily scripture, or just listening to Christian music.
I’ve been purchasing Corda candles for almost four years now and no matter what scent you choose, you will not be disappointed. I haven’t found one that I didn’t like. I find myself disappointed when they’re out of stock when I’m in the mood for a particular scent. Be sure to snip your wick before lighting so your candle lasts longer. (Read more about this on the website.) You are going to be amazed at how long they last! And when your candle is finished, pull out the wick holder and wash the glass to reuse it. Great for juice, water, candy, etc or even paper clips, thumb tacks on your desk. I have saved a set of eight and have been giving the rest away. Just what was expected. Scent and burn time better than anticipated.
I ordered a variety of amazing candles from CORDA and have not been disappointed by any of the amazing fragrances. I have chemical sensitivities and was afraid to try any candle in my house again … but none of the fragrances are overpowering and the fact that I can have them burning in my home and not get sick is a testament to their quality! 10/10 would recommend any product by CORDA!

I heard about you from the podcast Abiding Together. I first tried a collection of tealights and really liked this scent for Joan of Arc, my Confirmation Saint. It is a subtle lavender, not too strong, which I like. The shipping and packaging was excellent!
