Behind the Inspiration
As a girl Joan was given a divine mission to help save her country. Her fortitude in following God’s will even to death is symbolized by French oak, prized for its incredible strength. Lavender, which calls to mind the fields of France, symbolizes grace and purity. She is celebrated by the Church as virgin and martyr.
St. Joan’s feast day is May 30.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
Thank you to the folks at Corda! I've never been able to burn candles, because most are filled with toxins and give me such a bad headache. I heard about your candles through the Abiding Together Podcast, and I was excited to give them a try. They smell incredible, and I'm able to burn them without any icky side effects. Most importantly, seeing the soft glow throughout my house during prayer time, or even as I accomplish chores around the house, is a constant reminder to keep my heart and mind on Jesus, and to lift up everything to Him! So far we've only tried a couple, but Valor and Grace is the family favorite right now. I loved it so much that I gifted one to my Goddaughter as well...a girl who is fierce, just like St. Joan! I can't wait to share them with others!

My Corda candle, Valor and Grace was a gift to myself for Mother's Day. Since Joan of Arc is my patron saint, I especially loved the connection. And it was delivered on her actual feast day - May 30th! Thank you for the product as first heard about on Abiding Together by Sister Miriam. :-)
Every time I walk passed the candle, I smell the fragrance! I haven't even lit it yet!
Looks very nice, but scent is too intebse
I bought this candle for my sister who is converting and choosing Joan of Arc as her patron saint. It smells lovely and I am excited to give it to her this Easter vigil!
I got this candle as a gift for someone whose patron saint is Joan of Arc. I love how simple and classy the packaging design is, and I’m sure it smells heavenly.
I tried a 6 pack of tea lights to try new scents and this one was the HIGHLIGHT! I am looking forward to buying the larger version. It is subtle yet elegant. Truly enjoyable and pleasant.
Absolutely love this candle I actually have it lit as Im writing this review the scent heavenly perfect for when Im saying my prayers.
