Simple and elegant, our handcrafted walnut lid is the perfect complement to your CORDA candle, protecting the wax from dust and debris while preserving the scent's cold throw.

It's also made to last: reuse the lid candle after candle, or repurpose jar and lid together for another use.

Made by hand in the heartland from American walnut and finished with natural oils and waxes.

Please note that each wooden lid is made from genuine walnut, so there will be slight variations in coloring and wood grain pattern from lid to lid.

Also, since our jars are made from blown glass they vary slightly in size. It's normal for the lid to fit a bit tighter or looser from candle to candle. To help achieve a good fit, each lid includes a food-safe silicone seal.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:

Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
Keep out of direct sunlight

I ordered the CORDA Walnut lid a) because well to be honest - dust can settle in candles and I didn’t think I would want to burn them constantly , but I find myself doing that and the beautiful smell fills the room and reminds me of the prayer or devotion which was the reason I picked the particular scent/ saint candle . Like “ A Shower of Roses for Our Lady and St Terese of Lisieux AND St Rose of Lima ( our Parish & our daughter k Granddaughter’s middle name )) . Find myself using the Walnut lid now to stop the smoke when I blow out the candle .

A great quality lid. They sent me an extra because they sent the wrong one originally (without the inscription), which they definitely didn’t need to do but was very sweet of them! One of my favorite small businesses for sure. I’m sad I don’t have more opportunities to buy candles!!

My maternal grandfather was a carpenter by trade, unfortunately I did not inherit his talent, but I have a special place in my heart for wood objects and know that each piece will not be the same. With that said, the CORDA Walnut Lid I received did not disappoint! The color of the wood, the font for “hearts up” on the top of the lid and CORDA on the underside of the lid are perfect. I will definitely order a lid with future gift giving purchases.

I was so excited when I discovered Corda's introduction of wooden lids for their candles! The craftsmanship is truly remarkable, and the option to have them inscribed with 'hearts up' is a such a nice touch. Lighting a candle always serves as a beautiful reminder to lift our hearts to the Lord.
