Praying the Divine Office, also called the Liturgy of the Hours or the Work of God (opus Dei), is obligated for priests and religious, and is also a beautiful practice for all the faithful.
This Daily Prayer set features our two candles inspired by the Divine Office:
- Lauds, inspired by Morning Prayer (invigorating scents of citrus, morning dew, and juniper berry)
- Compline, inspired by Night Prayer (calming scents of dark amber, vanilla, and lavender)

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
The fragrances is uplifting. Added them to our Sacred Heart prayer corner. We came to Corda as part of our Church fundraising. All the candles are excellent wouldn’t buy them anywhere else.
I ordered the daily prayer set as a Christmas present for my mom. I thought that she would like these scents while praying each day.
I send this to a friend who just moved into a new house. She said they smelled really nice and she loved they were from a Catholic company:)

I love the daily prayer set of candles. I have trouble with scented candles usually, but not these. This is a most welcome surprise.
They smell wonderful! I will be buying again.
The scents for this set are wonderful. They fill the room with the perfect aroma to start and end my day. I’ve never been happier with the smell of a candle more than these two!
The candles are great for my prayer table and prayer life. I have "Lauds" on the left side and "Compline" on the right. When I pray Lauds, I light Lauds, and Compline for Compline. The fragrances get me in the right frame of mind and make me less likely to resist praying, as I am often apt to do.
Such lovely scents that truly enhance one's prayer time!
