You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
I often buy the Complete Tealight set because I can have a variety of scents… they last a few hours and I mainly use them in my quiet room when I am praying. I also use them in my living room because I can smell the unique scent as I walk through my home…
The complete set is a great way to try out different scents when you aren’t quite sure which ones to buy. However, after finding some favorites the first time around, I ordered the complete set again to use when I know I only have a shorter time to burn a candle. The amount of time they last (about 4 hours) is perfect in the evenings. I also personally think that the throw from the tealight is just as good as the larger candle, so the discrete burn time and strong throw make them great for my purposes. Additionally, the tealights make easy gifts to share. I have gifted the favorites samplers, but you can always take some from the complete set (since they are packed in groups of six) and pass them along to a friend to try. I love the Saint-inspired scents, the fact that Corda is a small, Catholic, family-owned business, and that the candles are made from a coconut wax because I don’t seem to have any sensitivities to them. They are a great way to experience Corda candles yourself or to introduce them to someone else.
I bought four samples sets and was very pleased with them. CORDA was recommended by a friend and I needed a few small gifts for my sponsor and friends that were there for me while I went through OCIA. Each one smelled wonderful and I would recommend CORDA to everyone and will be purchasing candles again myself 🙂
The scent range of these candles is so great and they burn very cleanly. None of them are overly perfumey and my kids love them also! I will DEFINITELY purchase again!

Purchased the Complete Tealight Set and burn a different scent each day depending on feast day we are celebrating or mood :) This is our treat during our homeschooling lessons! Also, when we first received the set, we played a game trying to identify either the scent or the saint that it is associated with. St. Augustine was the perfect *pear* matching scent with saint! Plus you learn a little history of the saint as well. We love this one!
