You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
Wick Trimmer
I received the really lovely wick trimmer from Cordova. It works really well. It’s easy to handle and does a great job on my candle wick. It feels to me that everything they make is done with such love and great care. I’m new to using candles but their candles are all beautiful and their wick trimmer does such a great job. This wick trimmer is the tool I never thought I needed, but now that I have it I’m not sure why I didn’t get one sooner! It trims the wick to the perfect height and there is no more mess trying to break it off before lighting the candle. It’s well made and easy to use. Love it!

Wick Trimmer
When you invest in good quality candles, a wick trimmer makes all the difference in maintaining the life of your candles. This one trims the wick well (it doesn't pull or uproot them) and looks really nice displayed next to or near the candles. The next time I gift Corda candles, I will absolutely gift a trimmer too!
