Nuanced with notes of amber, cedarwood, lavender, bergamot, rosewood, and mint.

Behind the Inspiration
This just man was a courageous and strong husband, with an obedient and humble heart. Through the work of his hands, Joseph provided for the Holy Family. Scents of leather and sawdust recall the shop where he worked, and where Jesus and Mary would have visited him.

St. Joseph the Worker’s feast day is May 1.

US Shipping: For orders to the contiguous states, free shipping is automatic on orders of $75 or more. A single tealight set can ship for $5 and all other orders ship for just $7.50. Shipping for orders to Hawaii and Alaska will be calculated at checkout. Orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and tracking information is provided.

International Shipping: Orders shipping to Canada will be sent via UPS Worldwide and shipping is calculated at checkout. For other international destinations, please send me your shipping address and order, and I'll send a shipping quote back. Please note that all international shipping costs/duties/taxes/etc. are the responsibility of the recipient. If you're overseas, just send me a note with the items you'd like to purchase and your shipping address, and I'll send a quote back.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:

Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
Keep out of direct sunlight

Beautiful and Humble Scent

Lovely, but lacking

I really love the smell of this candle and the thoughtfulness of the design, packaging, etc. I want to start by saying I have the St. Teresa of Avila candle and it smells amazing!! My only issue with this one is that it is not strongly scented. I had it lit for a few hours and had to put my nose directly over it to smell anything at all… a bit disappointing.

A more subtle aroma than some of your other candles, but a worthy blend to honor the Guardian of the Redeemer…I’m enjoying it.

Flames that Warm My Heart

I’m a candlemaker too. The moment I discovered these candles at Little Flower Gift Shop in Katy, Texas, I was filled with utmost excitement of how CORDA creates candles in honor of saints and most especially the Catholic faith.
I know the time and effort that goes into making candles and super fussy about fragrance strength.
CORDA fragrance strength is perfection and packaging is above and beyond beautiful.
Initially, I purchased St. Joseph Carpenter Shop to light during my 33 day devotion of consecration to St. Joseph.

To my very own St. Joseph

I actually bought this candle, as well as Alpine Ascent, for my Dad, who is also a carpenter named Joseph. My family and I have always loved the smell of Wood shavings, because it meant Dad just came home from work! He texted me the other day and said that they loved it so much, that in the two weeks they’ve had the candle, it’s almost gone! Wonderful gift for one who gives himself every day for us.
