CORDA is now the first and only Catholic candle company with scratch and sniff labels!

That's right, from now on there will be zero fragrance in the actual candles themselves, but you can still experience and enjoy all the beautiful CORDA scents through these special scratch and sniff labels.

We had the team test the new labels and they're just as excited!

Why the change? As you know, the supply chain is crazy and costs just keep going up. It's important for us to keep the candles as affordable as possible, but, well, we don't want to go out of business. The good news is that the scratch and sniff labels need just a fraction of the scent that goes into a candle, so we can keep costs manageable while still offering the scents you know and love us for.

Where did such a brilliant and creative idea come from, you wonder? Well, Michael and I are both 80s kids, and scratch and sniff stickers were a huge deal in grade school. It was definitely a pre-teen status symbol to put scratch and sniff stickers in your schoolmates' Valentine's Day boxes. I remember loving my stickers so much I'd only allow myself one scratch a day, so that I could make each sticker last as long as possible.

With that in mind, and in honor of the Holy Trinity, our patented scratch and sniff labels have triple the number of scratches of the industry standard. So enjoy your candle for that full 45-hour burn time and feel free to scratch with abandon!

I know, I know... you're probably confused and perhaps even thinking this is a terrible idea. I mean, what's the point of scented saint candles that aren't actually scented?

Well, if that's what you're thinking, all I can say is...

APRIL FOOLS!

Yep, just kidding! There's no way we'd stop making our scented candles!

It is true, actually, that the labels are getting a slight redesign, and the new ones will have a lovely watercolor background that Michael painted. We're just waiting on the printer now and hope to debut the labels next month.
