Behind the Inspiration
This Doctor of the Church’s profound writings on the interior life were born from decades of struggle with prayer as well as lifelong physical suffering. Peaceful and transportive, her candle’s scents call to mind her mysticism, and are also helpful for those suffering headaches, of whom Teresa is the patron saint.
St. Teresa’s feast day is October 15.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
It is fun choosing candles for friends based on their patron or favorite saint. I buy extras, too, in case I need a last minute gift. And if I don’t, we’ll, all the better for me!
I bought this scent in a sampler and it was one of my favorites. I am gifting this to my cousin for her birthday. I love how it smells like incense a little bit, but it's still has other notes.
