All through the day and night, the Divine Office, also known as the Liturgy of the Hours, is prayed by religious, priests, and faithful around the world for the whole Church. Night Prayer, or Compline, is the last office prayed before bed.
The scents of this candle are known to relieve stress, promote relaxation, and prepare one for sleep.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
This is my FAVORITE Corda scent. I love burning it in the evenings during prayer and while getting ready for bed. Thank you for your wonderful candles!!
Really? This was ‘seconds’? A small air bubble on side of candle - I had to look hard for … is a second? Truly a beautiful candle, hard to believe it was a ‘second’!!!!
My husband and I enjoy this scent the best - we light for night prayers. I tried the sampler… we just have a favorite - Compline - try it!
I love the scents of Corda candles and I honestly can’t tell what makes a second candle imperfect. Their candles are special, even their seconds.
I ordered my favorites along with Compline which was new to me. I loved them all but ended up giving them all as gifts! I loved gifting these to people who will love the quality of the candle as well as the special meaning associated with each scent. I could not tell they were 'seconds'. My favorite Corda candle is Compline. It releases subtle tones of lavender, vanilla and dark amber with a touch of patchouli. It stands up to its name as last thoughts of the day linger and float away. Relaxing and peaceful. Love the creative people who can dream up a scent which is transforming for me to enjoy.

I bought this as a gift. Other than not having the descriptions card there seemed to be no flaw. My daughter just started doing lithe various prayers and this complimented her prayer time.

I had always wanted to try Compline so the "seconds" offer seemed too good to pass up. First of all, after much scrutiny Im not entirely sure why this one was in seconds, it looks just as nice as the others! Regardless, the scent is incredible. I have always loved lavender but it can be overpowering by itself. To mix it with amber and vanilla balances it perfectly. Its my favorite nighttime candle.
I love these candles, I have too many favorites, I ask for them as gifts, and I frequently give them as gifts! To support a Catholic family business is an added bonus.
