FR test
There's a Kansas farmboy up for sainthood! I love Servant of God Fr. Emil Kapaun, a funny and humble diocesan priest from a tiny town who became a military chaplain. He risked his life over and again to protect, strengthen, and save his men, and he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
Fr. Kapaun died in a POW camp 70 years ago, but he's actually being buried in Wichita next month! It's an amazing story, and one we heard from special guest Scott Carter, the Coordinator for the Cause for Sainthood of Father Emil Kapaun. He shared Fr. Kapaun's amazing story and what the path to canonization looks like.
