Nuanced with notes of clove, florals, balsam, patchouli, and musk.
Behind the Inspiration
This love poem at the heart of the Bible reveals to us the heart of God, who pursues us as lover and bridegroom. Here the nuptial love between man and woman becomes an image of God’s own love for the world.
In the poetic imagery of the Song, pomegranate refers to the bride, apple to the groom, and cedar to both.
US Shipping: For orders to the contiguous states, free shipping is automatic on orders of $75 or more. A single tealight set can ship for $5 and all other orders ship for just $7.50. Shipping for orders to Hawaii and Alaska will be calculated at checkout. Orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and tracking information is provided.
International Shipping: Orders shipping to Canada will be sent via UPS Worldwide and shipping is calculated at checkout. For other international destinations, please send me your shipping address and order, and I'll send a shipping quote back. Please note that all international shipping costs/duties/taxes/etc. are the responsibility of the recipient. If you're overseas, just send me a note with the items you'd like to purchase and your shipping address, and I'll send a quote back.
Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.
You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight

Jessica G Although I have not yet burned this candle the smell of it is so lovely! I can definitely smell the apple but the cedar is faint to me. It is not my favorite but it is so unique it’s hard to beat. Great job on putting these unique scents together!

Laura C. I received the Valor and Grace candle for Christmas, and the scent was amazing! So pure and rich! So when I wanted to send two new candles to two friends, I confidently picked out candles that sounded delicious even though I couldn't smell them online. When they arrived, I was not disappointed. Fiat and Sweeter Than Wine = YUM!

I've realized over the years that most candles are not designed for my smallish, not-open-concept house, which makes it a challenge to find scents that don't fill the space in 5 minutes with the Smell of Overwhelm. Also, I am very sensitive to scents of any kind. I first tried Sweeter Than Wine as part of a sampler of tealights I ordered, and I loved it. The true test is always the full-sized candle, and though I bought it with a little trepidation, but it turned out to be perfect. I have ordered it twice now and am so glad to see that it is available more than just during February, so I don't have to stock up! It is fruity, but not so sweet as to be cloying. It definitely scents my entire space, but not to the point of being the only thing you can smell. Highly recommend.
