Cloistered Heart
These contemplative scents of cherry and violet are inspired by St. Elizabeth of the Trinity.
Nuanced with notes of sandalwood, almond, orange, dewy foliage, vanilla, and jasmine.
Behind the Inspiration
Cherry reminds us of Elizabeth’s innocent and joyful spirit, as when she joked that she ate cherries, which the locals called “Carmelites,” in order to have a vocation. Violet recalls her poetry and mystical works, which were often written in vibrant purple ink, as well as her religious name, as violets symbolize the Trinity.
St. Elizabeth’s feast day is November 8.

The Cloistered Heart candle was commissioned by the Abiding Together podcast to pair with their Lenten study of This Present Paradise by Claire Dwyer. Your purchase of this candle helps support SOLT (Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity), podcast host Sr. Miriam James Heidland's religious order. So far, we've donated $5,2400+ to SOLT - thank you!
You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
I don't like scents that are too "perfumey". This candle was the perfect amount, softly scented. It burns/melts evenly. Very high quality candle!
All the candles I have purchased have been wonderful. Cloistered heart may be my new favorite:)
This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. It's one of her favorite scented candles, and she was thrilled to receive this! I'm so happy to have found a successful gift from a small Catholic business!
It’s my favorite scent! It’s so peaceful and beautiful.
Loved all the scents I picked out especially St.Padre Pio. I also love that they help SOLT. These are perfect for my prayer time.
So grateful for these beautiful candles. My friends and I are reading through This Present Paradise and I gave them a tealight of Cloistered Heart with a prayer card on St Elizabeth's Feast Day, Nov 8th. Everyone loved it!
I absolutely love the Cloistered Heart candle! It smells lovely, and most of all, it is a beautiful reminder for the mothers’ group that I lead of the lessons we learned over the summer in our study of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity. Thank you so much for creating this candle! I’d love to see it become available on a regular basis so I can replace it as soon as it runs out.
Thank you so much to Anna - now my entire family has come to rely on her lovely candles and their scents for giving our home a cozy and unique ambiance. Personally, I love exploring her new candles, and really love the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity candle with Cherry and Violet tones. It's feminine but not overwhelmingly so, which is important to me! Such a lovely candle design AND smell - I'm so glad to add it to my growning Corda collection!! :) My candles arrived packaged so carefully, in the midst of our record-breaking 110 degree Texas summer. Not a single one was damaged and the wax was perfectly in place. There was even an ice pack in there to keep them cool on their postal journey!! Amazing! Thank you Anna, keep up the great work,
Lauren
The St. Elizabeth of the Trinity candle has a very subtle, soft scent. I can pick up the hints of cherry, but it's not an overwhelming fruity smell. It's a perfect balance between cherry and violet and creates a tranquil atmosphere. I also enjoyed reading the beautiful inspiration behind the candle.
Dear Anna,
Your candles are a source of divine inspiration. Our family received several as gifts, and now I am so grateful to do the same for others. This new edition from a favorite saint of mine is heavenly!
