These regal scents of frankincense and myrrh are inspired by the Epiphany.

Nuanced with notes of spices, sweetness, powdery amber, woods, and musk.

Behind the Inspiration
The wise men brought the Christ Child valuable gifts, each having a deeper meaning. Gold symbolizes his royalty and kingship. Frankincense, used in worship, points to his divinity. Myrrh, used for anointing during burials, reminds us of his humanity, and prefigures his passion and death.

The feast of the Epiphany is January 6.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:

Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
Keep out of direct sunlight

Gifts for a King is a gift that keeps giving! At the onset the packaging and visual appeal of the candle is top notch. The scent is what fills our home and keeps giving to our whole family. My favorite scent for Christmas and now prayer!

I ordered two sets of the Gifts for a King tealight samplers and a large candle for Christmas gifts. Luckily, I did not use both sets as gifts and have been lighting the tealight candle for my afternoon prayer--my office smells amazing and the beautifully fresh yet rich scent helps me dive deeper into Sacred Scripture and devotion. I absolutely love the scent of this candle for my prayer time all year around! I have always loved frankincense and myrrh for prayer, but not all brands are created the same. This is the second or third time I’ve purchased and love to have both the single candle as well as the tea lights on hand. Happy to shop both small and Catholic!
