Behind the Inspiration

This Capuchin friar was the first priest to bear the stigmata, which gave off a pleasant fragrance experienced by skeptics and believers alike. Between the many hours he spent hearing confessions, Pio would drink a bowl of coffee while corresponding with people around the world who sought his spiritual direction.

St. Padre Pio’s feast day is September 23.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:

Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
Keep out of direct sunlight

Smells reminiscent of my Grandfather

Marked by Love - in honor of St. Padre Pio - invokes the security of a loving grandfather & takes me back to sitting on the porch swing with my grandpa & watching the birds in a tranquil setting. The first inhalation of the scent brought me to tears - must be the subtle combination of scents that are familiar to his cologne or aftershave - I’m really not sure, but the scent is so soothing. I highly recommend you trial all the scents via the tea light sampler - then order the scents that speak to you. You won’t regret it!

Candles

I purchased these candles as part of a fund raiser for St. Leo School in Ridgway, PA. I must say the candles are beautiful and so fragrant. I love the fact that each candle is a representation of a Saint / Holy Figure. They are wonderful and I would highly recommend them. I was also pleased with the timing of the shipping. Definitely an A+.

Beautiful in Spirit and Scent

These are my favorite smelling candles by far. Lighting them puts me in a spiritual mode and I find myself in the habit of prayer more often.
