**Seconds** These candles have minor cosmetic blemishes: for example, markings on the glass or a slightly oblong shape. They come in a kraft CORDA box, but will not have the white outer sleeve with the candle name, scent notes, and story behind the inspiration.

These celestial scents of spices, sandalwood, and incense are inspired by St. Michael the Archangel.

Nuanced with notes of bergamot, patchouli, light florals, and musk.

Behind the Inspiration
The scent of strong spices is a nod to the way Michael defends us in battle, while the soft sandalwood recalls his gentler role of accompanying the sick and dying. Notes of incense bring to mind the Mass, reminding us of heaven and Michael’s place as prince of the heavenly host.

St. Michael’s feast day, also known as Michaelmas, is September 29.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:

Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
Keep out of direct sunlight

First off - “seconds” is just a reflection of Corda’s high quality standards - the candle burns as beautifully as their “firsts.” Battle Cry is like having St Michael hover over your space with the scent reminding you their is angelic protection in place - and just as one would expect - a high ranking soldier of God smells amazing!

*Seconds* Battle Cry

I love all of the Corda candles, but Battle Cry is my favorite. The smell is not overwhelming and burns for such a long time. When I have the opportunity, I get the "seconds", as it is a few dollars cheaper but still has the same great smell. I love to hear/read the stories behind the candle scents. I only buy Corda candles now!

I looooove my Battle Cry Corda Candles!

I am always extremely pleased with my Battle Cry candles! It so reminds me of Church! The Heavenly scent last all the way through to the bottom! And when there’s not enough wick left to burn off the last little bit in the bottom of the glass, I tuck them into different places in my home, and it still scents my home! I think I might start placing them into my air conditioning intake! And a bonus is the usable covered drinking glass! I really do love my Corda Candles! I could nothing “Secondary” about my “Seconds” sale order!
