Match Holder
Store, strike, and dispose of your matches all in one place!
These handcrafted match holders are a pretty and practical candle accessory. Custom designed by Anna to complement our candles and made by ceramicist Laura of Refining Fire Pottery, each holder is wheel thrown, trimmed, sanded, fired, sanded, glazed, and fired again.
Keep your matches at the ready, and easily light them on the holder base. After lighting your candle and blowing out the match, simply turn the extinguished match upside down and put it back in the holder. When all your matches have been used, just make one trip to the trash.
The ceramic holder is also useful throughout your home, as a miniature vase, planter, espresso cup, shot glass, and for storage for bits and bobs such as paper clips, q-tips, loose change, toothpicks, etc.
Please note that each match holder is handcrafted and unique, with slight variations in size, shape, and glazing.

You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
Took a learning curve to be able to strike match but now I’m able no problem! Love the ease of not having to throw away match each time I light my candle. Pairs well with the corda wick trimmer.make sure not to get it wet (we had ours sitting near sink as it will not work well anymore); came with additional strike pads

I am thrilled over a little match holder...the small things in life bring joy. To be able to have a hand made piece made by an artist, to help give a job to someone, to buy from a small business in the USA, and have a match holder sitting right next to my Corda candle in my prayer area makes this a worthwhile purchase. The match holder is super cute and will look nice with any decor in your home. The best part of the match holder is that the strike pad on the bottom is WAY more effective than any other strike pad I've used, including the strike pads on the side of the match boxes. I strike once and the match is lit. It's perfect; I wouldn't change a thing.

The idea of a match holder with the strike pad underneath is clever. However, I am finding that some matches have left a residue on the pad and therefore the holder needs to be placed on a small dish so as not to leave dark marks on the linen table cover. All in all it is a super useful piece for my prayer table. Simple design and very clever!

What a nice compliment to the beautiful Corda candles I ordered! The little match holder organizes my matches, keeping them close by. I love the strike pads that attach to the bottom of the holder. What a cool idea!

I love the little match holder. It fits the matchsticks so well and it lights the matches perfectly. It makes lighting these beautiful candles even more enjoyable! And after I blow out the match, I just turn it upside down and stick it back in the holder. So easy and no mess.
