This pure, unfragranced candle is inspired by Mary, the Immaculate Conception.
Behind the Inspiration
The dogma of the Immaculate Conception, declaring Mary's purity and miraculous preservation from original sin, was promulgated in 1854 by Pope Pius IX. Mary herself used this title a few years later when appearing to St. Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes, reminding us of the power of God's redemptive grace. In honor of Mary's purity, the Immaculata candle is made from pure coconut wax and pure beeswax, and is fragrance free and soy free.
Mary, the Immaculate Conception is the patron saint of the United States, Argentina, Brazil, and numerous US dioceses. Her feast day is December 8.
O most Holy Virgin, who was pleasing to the Lord and became his mother, immaculate in body and spirit, in faith and in love, look kindly on me as I implore your powerful intercession. O most Holy Mother, who by your blessed Immaculate Conception, from the first moment of your conception did crush the head of the enemy, receive our prayers as we implore you to present at the throne of God the favor we now request.
O Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Mother of Christ, you had influence with your Divine Son while upon this earth; you have the same influence now in heaven. Pray for us and obtain for us from him the granting of my petition if it be the Divine Will. Amen.

Each candle is handcrafted with CORDA's proprietary coconut wax blend, custom phthalate-free fragrances blended in-house, and a cotton and paper wick primed with all-natural wax. Learn more about the ingredients here.
You’ll get the cleanest, longest, and safest burn from your candle with a few simple steps:
- Always trim the wick before lighting to 1/8”–1/4”
- Burn until the melted wax reaches edge to edge, or very nearly, to reduce tunneling
- Burn only up to 4 hours at a time
- Always keep a burning candle in sight, away from flammable materials, out of drafts, out of reach of pets and children, and on a heat-safe surface
- Keep out of direct sunlight
